Fall 2010 Season Info:
Tryouts for the Fall 2010-2011 season will be held on Saturday, August 21st from noon to 2pm at the Ice Sports Forum in Brandon. The cost to tryout is $25 per player.
The season starts October 1st and runs through February. Games will be held on Friday nights with a possible split of 6 games in Brandon, 6 in Ellenton, and 6 at TBSA. There is also a possibility of a league wide tournament the 3rd or 4th week of September at the St. Pete Times Forum.
The high school league is now officially called the Florida High School Hockey Association and consists of 2 divisions, the Central Division and the Western Division. At this time it appears there will be 20 teams in the division. Central Division teams are the Brandon and Ellenton based teams, and Western Division teams are the Oldsmar based teams.
Plant’s coaches are Lee Gilner, Head Coach and Tom Driscoll, Assistant Coach.
Practices will start on Tuesday, August 31st. Practices will be held twice a week, Tuesdays & Thursdays, from 5:30am to 6:30am at the Ice Sports Forum.
Player fees will be confirmed at tryouts. Estimated fees for the season are $1300-$1600 per player, plus uniforms.
